Kevin Steegstra

Kevin Steegstra grew up in Revelstoke BC where his father was a successful career agent with the Great West Life. Kevin was a honour student for most of his high-school years in Revelstoke, and in 1975 transferred to a Christian high-school in Briercrest, Sask. where he graduated with honors in 1977.

When he returned home from Saskatchewan, the building of the Revelstoke Dam was in full progress and Kevin started his apprenticeship as a carpenter while working there. A few years after completing his journeyman papers, he started his own business as a home builder in Sardis, BC which he continued for several years.

In 2001 he was offered a sales position with the Lutheran life Insurance company. When this company went through some major re-organization and office re location in 2003, Kevin joined his father and sister at Parity Agencies Ltd., quickly becoming a partner in the business.

Kevin has obtained his formal Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and while most of his business today is centered on Business Insurance solutions, he has also been very involved in some complex estate planning and charitable Life Insurance and Annuity cases with some elderly clients. Kevin specializes in Corporate Business Life and Disability Insurance.

Kevin and his long time sweetheart Barb were married in 1993 and both became active in a Lutheran Church in Chilliwack where Kevin holds a leadership position to this day. Kevin and his wife Barb have 3 young children. He enjoys golf, and even managed a “hole in one” recently which most of his golfing companions describe as either a miracle or an accident.

Kevin has become a very valuable addition to the “Parity Team”, he serves as a company director and looks forward to providing “Excellence in Service” to both new and existing clients of this very fast growing company.
